June 23, morning, I came to school, the rain has not poured yet but the skies were dimmed already. I had no idea that rain would pour that hard later in the evening.
So my day went normal when me and Paul decided to attend an entrance of colors at the Manila City Hall. It was our first time since last last years ROTC. How I missed wearing those galas.
3:00 pm: I was at the City Hall attending the event (Entrance of Colors). Our duty ended at 5:00 pm when suddenly the rain came. We went back at school only to find ourselves stranded. I saw some of my friends were still back there so I decided to join them on the way home.
We left school by 6:00pm. We were looking for jeepneys as we walked. We made it passed through City Hall then Carriedo. We kept on walking as the rain continues to fall. Then, we made it to D. Jose as one of our companions left for a different way. Again, we kept on walking, rain still falls as we reached Tayuman. My former classmate, Xary, went on a different route. So it's between me and my friend (forgot her name) and the walk to 5th avenue. As we reached Abad Santos station, we decided to take the LRT and luckily, we rode one. Both of us part ways at 5th avenue. Finally I got home at 9:18pm.
I'm thankful to God that we're safe. Also, I pray for those we left behind, at school, and those who were stranded. Oh yeah, and my love said that their house were filled with water already. I hope you're safe back there!
Your big picture and newspaper got wet, good thing they're not smothered. I'm sorry I slept over the texts with you, it's because I felt so tired. I love you Camille, hope everyone's safe. Especially Baby girl Una-na. Haha.
