If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I think this quote is overrated. Why? Have you ever planned for something for so long but didn’t work out? Hell yeah I did. Sometimes, those things unplanned are the things which most likely to happen. And sometimes, these are the things which are fun, right? Amazing, isn’t it!
Planning is when you organize things. Organizing the things to do to meet your goals. Goals are expectations which can either be long term or short term.
My experiences in planning is, well, not really successful. That’s why I think planning is overrated. I planned for so many things but they tend not to happen. Why? There are 3 simple reasons.
1. Last minute planning – Damn! This happens a lot! It’s when you plan for something and your deadline is tomorrow. Other term to this is cramming. It’s really not accurate. Some changes may still occur that’s why you have to analyze for things first.
2. Natural conditions – Here’s a problem in our country. Our country is visited by 2 or 3 storms in a month. Weather changes may affect your plans. Like for example what happened to me this day. I supposed to meet up with my friends to shoot for a video. (It’s a surprise video so don’t bother asking about it) But rain fell hard. So it got cancelled. See what simple weather changes do to your plans?
3. Discipline – Ah! This is really an issue in planning. If you’re not disciplined enough, you won’t meet your goals. That’s why you planned in the first place, right? You have to follow what you planned in order to meet your goals and expectations.
But despite of all these types, kinds, conflicts or etcetera on planning, the best plan is still God’s plan. No one knows what’s in store for us except God. He knows what is right for us. So when you feel, like, out of direction, pray and God will lead you to the right path.
